Chicago's Mexican Independence Day Celebrations Continue
Downtown Streets to Reopen Sunday
After two days of festivities, downtown Chicago streets will reopen Sunday as Mexican Independence Day celebrations continue in the city.
Festivities Continue in Other Neighborhoods
While the main parade and festival in the Loop will end Saturday night, other neighborhoods will continue to host events throughout the weekend.
The National Museum of Mexican Art will host a family-friendly celebration from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. The event will feature live music, dance performances, and art activities.
The Mexican Independence Day celebration is one of the largest cultural events in Chicago. It attracts more than 1 million people each year.
